Voice
Voice is optional. Set a speech provider key in Settings → Voice to turn it on; Celeris stores the key in your operating system's keychain. Without a key, Celeris captures no audio at all. Spoken tasks run under the same approvals as typed ones.
Dictation
Click the microphone in the composer or the capture input and speak. Your words appear as you say them, and each finished sentence runs as a task. When a spoken task finishes, Celeris reads the result back.
To send only what you mean, hold the push-to-talk key while you speak and let go to send. It is the right Option key on a Mac and the right Alt key elsewhere. Holding the microphone button does the same.
Dictation switches itself off after a minute of silence, and stops listening while Celeris is speaking.
Spoken replies
Replies start playing a sentence at a time, while the rest is still being prepared. A player above the composer lets you pause, replay earlier answers, and change speed or voice. Press the push-to-talk key or Escape to cut a reply short; Escape also stops the task if it is still running.
Settings
In Settings → Voice:
- Auto-run each sentence. Off, dictation only fills the input and you press Enter yourself.
- Push-to-talk key. Pick a key that types nothing on its own.
- Spoken replies. Turn off to keep dictation without reading aloud.
- Playback speed and Voice.
