Privacy

Your files, screen captures, command output and session history stay on your machine. What leaves it is what a task needs to be answered, plus optional usage telemetry.

What is sent to run a task

For a turn you start, Celeris sends celeris-1:

  • your prompt;
  • the screen capture, if the turn started from the hotkey. It is resized first, and attached to that turn only;
  • the frontmost app's name and window title, when available;
  • the tool results the task needs, such as output of a command you approved.

Requests run under the workspace you signed in with. Turns started from the chat window carry no screenshot.

What stays local

  • Session history: every transcript, tool call and output. Deleting a session deletes its history.
  • Credentials: your Celeris key, connector tokens and speech provider key, in your operating system's keychain. They are never shown in the app.
  • Your settings and allowlist.

Telemetry

Celeris reports anonymous usage under an install identifier not tied to your account: which features are used and whether tasks succeeded. It never includes your prompts, screen captures, file contents or command output. Change or turn it off in Settings → Privacy.

Feedback

When you send feedback from the app, the form shows every attachment in full before you send it, and you can untick any of them: a picture of the Celeris window, recent activity in the current session, and, only if you turn it on, a capture of your screen. Celeris removes the secrets it recognises from text attachments. Pictures are sent as captured, so check them for anything you would not send.

Permissions you can revoke

Screen Recording, Accessibility, the microphone and each connector are separate grants. Revoke any of them in your operating system's settings, or disconnect a connector in Settings → Tools → Connectors. Celeris loses that capability and nothing else changes.
